Special guests and celebrities have included Dr. Bill Kraemer, Dr. Jay Hoffman, two of the most respected exercise science researchers anywhere; strongman athlete Brad Gillingham, female bodybuilding athlete Carla Sanchez, and many respected names in the fields of strength training and coaching. The 2007 Strength Summit featured the "Educational Deadlift Contest" where World Powerlifting Champion Brad Gillingham pulled 871lbs in the Deadlift.
The 3-day event is held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center under the direction of David Sandler. Sandler is the Chairman of the Arnold Strength Training Summit and President of StrengthPro Inc. a Las Vegas based sports performance consulting group. He has given more then 230 National and International lectures and written more then 100 articles on strength, speed and power. Sandler has authored or co-authored 5 books on fitness and strength and is a consultant
to many sports organizations, teams, and universities.
