Arnold Sports Festival To Add
IFBB Professional Bikini Competition in 2011

Chady Dunmore is the latest proof that the quickest way for aspiring IFBB pros to earn a spot in the Arnold Classic is to first win the Arnold Amateur. Chady won the Amateur Bikini in March, then earned her pro card in July and will be invited to the 2011 Bikini International. It's that simple.

The Arnold Sports Festival, the largest multi-sport festival in the nation and home of the prestigious Arnold Classic since 1989, will add a professional bikini competition to its lineup of IFBB-sanctioned professional competitions in 2011.

The Bikini International will join a lineup of International Federation of Body Building events that also includes the Ms. International, Fitness International and Figure International competitions that draw elite professional fields to Columbus each March.

“We are very aware of the growing popularity of professional bikini competitions and are proud to offer the world’s top pros the opportunity to compete at the Arnold Sports Festival in 2011,” event co-promoter Jim Lorimer said. “Like all of our professional events, we will strive to make the Bikini International the most sought-after championship of its kind in the world.”

There are 13 professional bikini competitions on the IFBB Professional League schedule in 2010. In addition, the Arnold Amateur Bodybuilding, Fitness, Figure and Bikini Championships attracted more than 100 competitors for its Amateur Bikini competition that was held in March 2010. Chady Dunmore of Roseville, Calif., the winner of the 2010 Arnold Amateur Bikini, earned her pro card at the 2010 NPC Team Universe and will be invited to the 2011 Bikini International.

The 2011 Arnold Sports Festival – which will features more than 18,000 athletes from more than 75 nations competing in 44 sports and events – will be held March 3-6, 2011. Ms. International, Fitness International and Figure International competitions will be held on Friday, March 4 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center and Veterans Memorial. The 23rd annual Arnold Classic and Bikini International will be held on Saturday, March 6 at Veterans Memorial. The Arnold Amateur Bodybuilding, Fitness, Figure & Bikini Championships will be held March 3-4 at Veterans Memorial and the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
