Amateur MMA Festival

The eighth-annual Title Boxing Club Presents Amateur MMA Festival will again feature 15 action-packed bouts of high-level amateur and professional mixed martial arts.

The Amateur MMA Festival will feature three professional bouts and 12 amateur bouts. The featured professional bout will feature Travis "Bam Bam" Davis (4-0) of Columbus, Ohio against Sid Wheeler (6-1) of Fort, Oglethorpe, Georgia. The headliner is part of the Justified Defiance Fight Series. The rest of the card will be announced soon.

Columbus-based mixed martial arts promoters Troy Speakman and Bob Lorimer of the Arnold Sports Festival co-promote the Amateur MMA Festival, which attracts top amateur fighters from throughout the Midwest. The Amateur MMA Festival fight cards are sanctioned by the Ohio Boxing Commission.

“The Arnold Sports Festival is proud to produce top-level amateur mixed martial arts fights each year at the Arnold Sports Festival,” Lorimer said. “The first-ever Amateur MMA Festival in March 2010 was a tremendous success and the event has grown bigger and better every year.”

Doors open to the Amateur MMA Festival on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 6:30 p.m., with the first bout to start at 7:30 p.m.
