Art at the Arnold

Artists using various media are invited to enter the 8th annual Art at the Arnold competition March 3- March 5 which takes place at the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus.

Art at the Arnold is three-days of drawing, painting, sculpting, and other creative artistic media. Artists use athletes and models as subjects with the Arnold Sports Festival as a backdrop. Space is limited to 50 artists.

Friday, the first day, artists work with models in the connector between the Columbus Convention Center and the Hyatt Regency. Saturday, the artists find subjects among the many events and competitions at the festival. Judging and the art show follow on Sunday at the Convention Center.

Last year’s winner was Steven S. Walker of Lewis Center, OH for his oil painting of a weight lifter.

Contact Buckland Gillespie Graphic Design to enter at 614-543-0000 or Registration deadline is Dec. 15, 2016.

Co-chairs of Art at the Arnold are Pertain Gillespie and Kevin Buckland who say Art at the Arnold is fun and educational for both spectators and artists.
