Teen Fitness Pageant

The Arnold Sports Festival has partnered with [BE] SOCIAL Dress Boutique to hold the 3rd Annual Miss Arnold Teen Fitness Pageant, which will take place on March 4th, 2018 in Columbus, Ohio.  This pageant is designed to promote fit and healthy lifestyles in today’s youth.  The winner, crowned by Arnold Schwarzenegger, will become the advocate for raising awareness of the importance of health and fitness in schools and communities nationwide. “We really want our contestants to help combat poor body image in young women; promoting mental health, in addition to physical health, is a huge part of what we do”, says Assistant Coordinator, Logan Schmitt. Even though The Miss Arnold Teen Fitness Pageant takes place on stage during the Arnold Sports Festival, the largest multi-sport festival in the world, there is still plenty of traditional pageantry fanfare to satisfy even the most die-hard pageant fans and contestants. “It is my first of many accomplishments,” proclaims Miss Congeniality 2018, Juliet Falanco, “it’s a great goal to strive for… and can help you achieve greatness”.

Each contestant that is selected to have the opportunity to compete on stage in March, will also be raising money for the charity, After-School All-Stars.  This charity serves over 82,000 low-income, at-risk youth at nearly 400 Title I schools in 14 major cities across the country; providing comprehensive after-school programs that keep children safe and help them succeed in school and life.  The goal of this organization is to “identify and fuel our student’s individual passions by tying their interests to tailored academic support, enrichment activities and sports. By creating lasting relationships with our students and incorporating service learning, we equip our All-Stars with the confidence and skills to become productive members of their community. After-School All-Stars gives its students a safe-haven during the “danger zone” hours of 3pm-6pm – the time of day when youth violence, drug use, and other delinquent behaviors are most likely to occur. We provide effective and thoughtful supports to fight against the high school drop-out and obesity crises and to ready our students for fulfilling careers in the modern workforce.”
