The USA Taekwondo Ohio State Championship will be held Saturday, March 3, at the Arnold Sports Festival. Organized by the Ohio State Taekwondo Association and directed by the Oriental Martial Arts College, the Championship is the official State qualifier for the USA Taekwondo National Championships and the first step to the Olympics.
Registration and check-in begin at 8 a.m. in the Buckeye Building at the Ohio Expo Center; Coaches MUST attend the 9 a.m. coaches' meeting. Championship will begin at 9:30 a.m.
All participants must be current USA Taekwondo members. Register here. All coaches, referees and club owner/instructors 18 and older are required to complete and pass the USA Taekwondo background check prior to being a member of USA Taekwondo and registering for USA Taekwondo state-sanctioned event (background checks must be completed every two years).
- Athletes must hold the appropriate U.S. citizenship or residency depending on the division in which he/she participates. Refer to the Pre-Event Manual for detailed information.
- All coaches must be, at minimum, AC certified within the USA Taekwondo CIDP program AND complete a mandatory background check if 18 or older.
NO ON-SITE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ALLOWED: this pertains to athletes AND coaches. All Participants (athletes, coaches, referees) must be current USA Taekwondo members and register for membership and competition through the official USAT site: www.usat.hangastar.com

Medals will be awarded to all first, second and two third-place winners.
Oriental Martial Arts College will also be exhibiting and having interactive taekwondo demonstrations at the Arnold Kids and Teens Sportsworld EXPO Saturday and Sunday in the Bricker Building.
