Arnold Strongman USA

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Arnold Strongman USA Championship, featuring the strongest men in the world, will return to the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles on January 18, 2020.

The Arnold Strongman USA Championship is part of the Arnold Pro Strongman World Series, with the winner of the event earning a spot in the prestigious Arnold Strongman Classic at the 2020 Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio.

The inaugural Arnold Strongman USA Championship was held on the Santa Monica Pier in January 2019. The event drew a sold-out crowd that saw Martins Licis take the title in front of a cast of Hollywood Stars that included: host Arnold Schwarzenegger; Hafthor Bjornsson, World’s Strongest Man and star of Game of Thrones, Sofia Vergara of Modern Family, and True Blood’s Joe Manganiello.

The Arnold Pro Strongman World Series is a professional sports league that features the world's best Strongmen competing around the globe for the right to compete in the Arnold Pro Strongman World Championship at the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio.

The 2019 Arnold Pro Strongman World Series features qualifying contests at Arnold Classic multi-sport festival in Australia, South America, Africa and Europe. In 2019, an additional qualifying event will be held at Festival Hommes Forts Warwick in Warwick, Quebec, Canada and in Los Angeles in January 2020 with winners advancing to compete at the 2020 Arnold Pro Strongman World Championship at the 2020 Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio.

2020 Feats Of Strength

Slater Log Clean & Press For Reps (380 pounds / 172.5 kg)
The athlete will clean and press each rep in a time limit of 60 seconds. Athletes must wait for the down call from the referee for a successful lift. The log will be placed on the Rogue crash pads. Equipment used will be the Slater’s wood log that was used last year. Athletes will go one at a time.

Farmer's Walk (400 pounds / 182 kg)
Athletes will pick and carry the farmers walk 30’, drop, turn and bring back to the start. The front of the implement must cross the line 60 second time limit. Multiple drops are allowed. Athletes will compete two at a time.

ROGUE Strongman Sandbag Throw Over Bar
Athletes will pick and throw five different sandbags over a 15-foot bar in ascending weight. 60 second time limit.
The bags will weigh:
70 pounds / 31.8 kg
75 pounds / 34 kg
80 pounds / 36 kg
85 pounds / 38 kg
90 pounds / 40 kg

Deadlift For Reps (775 pounds / 351 kg)
Athletes will deadlift 775 pounds (353 kg) for reps in 60 seconds. No suits or briefs are allowed. Only normal length deadlift straps are allowed. No figure eight straps are allowed. Equipment used will be the ROGUE Power bar. Athletes will compete two at a time

ROGUE Strongman Sandbag Load
with 3 bags carried 30’ each;
 Athlete will pick up sandbag from ground, carry 30 feet and load onto 52-inch platform. Three bags total, bags must be carried and loaded in ascending order.
The bags will weigh:
300 pounds / 136 kg
350 pounds / 158 kg
400 pounds / 181 kg
