Arnold Pro Strongman: 2019 Australia Pro Strongman Preview

The 2019 Arnold Pro Strongman World Series qualifying series kicks off March 15-16 in Melbourne, Australia with the Arnold Pro Strongman Australia.

The 13-man field is highlighted by five athletes who competed in the Arnold Pro Strongman World Championships in Columbus last week:

Mikhail Shivlyakov (Russia), 4th
Matjaz Belsak (Slovenia), 5th
Rauno Heinla (Estonia), 6th
Okeksii Noikov, (Ukraine), 7th
Jerry Pritchett (USA), 9th

Arnold Pro Strongman Australia will be contested over six events on Friday, March 15 and Saturday, March 16 at Arnold Sports Festival Australia.

Friday, March 15
12pm: Event 1 – The Super Yoke (500kg)
2pm: Event 2 – Log Press for Max weight (Opening at 160kg)
4pm: Event 3 – The Power Stairs (200kg / 225 kg / 250 kg)

Saturday, March 16
12 noon: Event 4 – The Viking Press for reps (170kg)
2pm: Event 5 – The Max Frame Deadlift  (Opening at 400kg)
4pm: Event 6 – The Atlas Stones (5 stones, 170kg-225kg)
